Some say that the Mortorola Droid is the first smart phone that is truely lust worthy from Verizon. As I think this is an inaccurate assessment of this phone (remember the hype of the Palm Trio?) there are quite a few reasons why you should consider this phone as your new toy.
Mortorola has finally made a comeback.
Android 2.0
The comparisons made here are many to the Iphone. Some of the best I have read are that the Iphone is for kids, Android phones are for adults.
This comparison of phones (which really comes down the each phones operating system) is better compared to that of for the non-techies and the techies.
The Andriod Operating system isn’t quite up to par with Apples Iphones OS…. yet. Since Andriod is open source expect it to quickly meet and surpass the Iphone. In the last year the Andriod system has made more advancements than any other smart phone operating system. Ever.
Be sure to check out some Andriod reviews.
The QWERTY Keyboard
One of the features I really like about this phone is that it has a QWERTY Keyboard. Some say this is a disappointment but every foreign keyboard takes a little getting used to. But don’t worry, if you want a touch screen keyboard this phone has one of those too.
A Big Screen
Have fun surfing the net with this phone! It has a larger screen than most competitors which shows the full width of most webpages.
Here are some other quick points on this amazing phone:
- The big screen. It is bright, crisp, and gives you tons of room to customize your icons and widgets and to view those webpages while surfing.
- Its got some speed. This phone has some nice performance and works smoothly when moving from app to app. Android can still be improved though, some of the home screen scrolling looked laggy. Look forward to future updates of the OS which should fix this.
- Android 2.0 has cleaned up their act. Its still Android but with those fancy new buttons.
- The web browser has been improved.
- The keyboard. Got to love having an actual sliding out keyboard and still have the option to use the screen.
